I had an interesting conversation with a gentleman, today, that used to be on city council, back in the late ’60’s and early ’70’s. How little things change. The promise back then was that a municipal airport would bring in to Washington, the titans of corporate America, if only we had an airport. Just as it was an empty promise then, it is still an empty promise today. He went on to say, “Why stop with a municipal airport. Let’s build a municipal golfs course, a municipal this or municipal that.” It’s all about priorities, folks.
